“...and
so, our plan is to lure her out using the girl. You understand why
this is of the utmost importance, do you not, headmaster?”, Kaien
Cross, the headmaster and founder of the academy, sat with his chin
resting on his folded hands. Glancing briefly to the still passed-out
body of Kami, he turned back to Siren, who stud with her back to
Kaname Kuran, who himself continued to study the human girl who lay
in a chair of the study. The headmaster sighed, closing his eyes to
do so, before looking back up to the two vampires before him.
“I understand
the seriousness of this matter, of course. How and why she was able
to transfer to this academy without my knowing of her true self is
beyond me, and she mustn't be allow to control and manipulate a
single one of our students, not anymore”, he sat up straight in his
chair, facing the two, who now both returned his stare, “Which is
why I will allow you to take Kami Nakamura into your care, until our
vampire reveals herself”.
Over the course
of the evening, Natsume's room mate was moved from her own dorm into
one of the Night Class rooms, where she would be monitored until she
awoke, and questioned, whilst vampires attempted to pick up on, and
track the scent of Kami's mystery vampire associate from their shared
dorm.
Of course, having
hidden herself well these past few years, Natsume knew when and where
to remain whilst this investigation into her whereabouts and identity
was being held. Knowing this day to have been inevitable since her
arrival to the human-vampire academy, she had long since destroyed
her file, making her unknown to the Night Class students.
She hadn't, of
course, forgotten or given up on Kami, her treasured one, her lover.
Her possession.

Kami stirred
slowly from her restless sleep, haunted by dreams of bloody battles
and crimson eyes, she was thankful to finally be able to leave her
slumber behind. She awoke to a strange bed, in an unfamiliar room and
location, with a pair of calm eyes watching her.
Straining her
eyes to make out the face of the figure who sat beside her bed, Kami
rubbed her eye slowly, before taking a long yawn. “I'm glad to see
that you're awake, Kami-chan”. She did not recognise the soft voice
immediately, but after allowing her eyes to adjust to the low light
of the room, the face of her watcher became clear to her,
“Yuki-sama?”.
The Kuran
princess's sweet expression calmed Kami, as she explained the
situation, though, despite having only in the past few hours had it
explained to herself by Siren, Yuki knew not to reveal the whole
truth of the situation to her just yet. “...and Siren-san brought
you back here. We thought it'd be best if we kept an eye on you, and
made sure that you're okay”, Yuki hesitated. She wasn't very good
at beating around the bush, so to speak. “Especially considering
that your room mate has disappeared”. Kami snapped to attention, a
quick gasp escaping her lips. With wide eyes, she sat upwards and
questioned the vampire before her, “Natsume-senpai has
disappeared?!”. Yuki narrowed her eyes slightly, and tilted her
head. “You seem really worried, Kami-chan. How close were you, you
and... Natsume?”.
The human girl
blushed, looking awkwardly down to her lap, where she pressed her
closed fists down into. “I-I just want to know what’s going on,
Yuki-sama”, her confidence building as Yuki pried into the personal
matter, Kami looked back up to the Kuran princess, her face a mixed
expression of worry and determination. “If Natsume-senpai has done
something wrong, or you know anything at all, please tell me,
Yuki-sama”.
The
pureblood princess smiled sadly, as Ruka Souen stepped out from the
shadows behind her. Kami hadn't even known she was there. “We'll
tell you everything, and more, once you
tell us
everything you know of your room mate”.
